Telephone

My sister called me the other day. We didn't talk about anything important, or special. But it made my day. Just to know that she loves me.

Life as I know it

Aaron is 3/4 of the way through teaching his first class at Kent State. He is doing great, and it has been great practice for his student teaching. I think he is being too nice, and that he is babying his class a little, but it works for him. He is now in Young Men's, and works with the 12 year olds. He is very busy.
I am in the process of changing positions at work. Not by choice, but of necessity. A co-worker is quitting, and I am going to have to cover her job. I am learning a lot.
We are finding lots of glitches in the new computer system at work. It will take us a while to figure it all out, but it will be a great system when it is done.
I have all of my Christmas shopping done, except for a few gifts to Aaron.
No baby yet.
Love,
Bobbi

The last month

What a month it has been!
July 14th - July 18th Aaron and I babysat 2 children from our ward. The girl is 8 and the boy is 9. We had so much fun. We went to the park, ate ice cream and popcorn everyday. We played video games, watched movies, and did crafts. I didn’t want them to go home.
The following week, I started up my shots again (my allergist was out of town for a month). They have not been going so well. I was so motion sick last night, Aaron had to keep stopping on the way home, so I wouldn’t throw up. The light sensitivity has been really bad too. All through this, Aaron has been my rock. I don’t know what I’d do without him.

“Music with a Message”

On the Mormon Channel (link to from lds.org) there is a program called “Music with a Message”. There are 20 MP3 programs that you can download for free. They are kind of like “Music and the Spoken Word”, but the music isn’t preformed live.
I really like them!

April, May, June

April was Chelsea’s Wedding. I left early Friday morning and came back Monday. She had her wedding in Manti, in a temple with a rich and interesting history. Very beautiful. She had a reception in an Equestrian Center. I spent 8 hours Friday shoveling rock, cleaning windows and setting up. I got very little sleep that weekend.
I really missed Aaron. It was like half of me was missing, and it was the first time we had really been apart since we got married. I don’t know how military wives do it. I could barely stand 3 days, I don’t know if I could do a year or more.

May brought lots of showers. I don’t really like rain. Oh well. Nothing I can do about it. My allergies really started to bother me and I started remembering how much I hate mold. I have not had any major flare-ups, so Dave’s magic medicine is working really well. This time last year, my co-workers thought that Aaron was beating me, my eyes were so swollen. Sometimes I would get to work without being able to open one of my eyes, but so far this year I haven’t.

June brought vacation time. Mostly Aaron and I have just hung out at home. I took a bunch of 4 day weekends and I have had a lot of time just to relax. Which is good, because I have been buried the 3 days between weekends. Aaron has had to be in school on the Mondays, but I’ve been running errands. I am also learning to ice cakes. I am not very good at it.
Jay’s Birthday was last week and we went to his Baptism. It was great. I loved spending time with my sister and her family. I miss them a lot. I have been really baby hungry the last month. It really helped to be among family.

February and March

Okay.
I am really bad at this.

February came and I was very busy at work. Aaron and I had our annual physicals. Dave came up with a better solution to my allergy problem then my allergist, and my quality of life is much better than what it was last year.
February also came a promotion that I didn’t want. I really didn’t want it. I love my job. I love doing what I do. I love going to work, and I love my boss. She is really the best I have ever worked for. I was so sad. They were going to move me to another part of the building, with completely different responsibilities. I didn’t want to go. I missed working on the Bake-A-Wish this month, because they had me training for the new position. I knew enough at that point they were letting me work solo for the 3 hours a day they had me. Luckily, they couldn’t find a replacement for me, so I got to stay, and they had to go with someone they didn’t want. Is it bad to be so happy about it?

March brought a really bad set of stomach viruses. I caught several at one time. I ended up missing 6 days of work. I was really glad to go back to work. We also had another video game night at our house and they are really fun.
I will fill in more gaps next time.
Sorry I haven’t written I so long.

Game Night

Our first game night this year with the YSA's went well.
We had a lot of fun. The boys played Halo 3, and we all played a very outdated version of Outburst.

Right now:
I'm sick.
Aaron's healthly.
